DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Nittany Lions and alumni from Big Ten schools at this year’s 5th Annual Big Ten Fun Run! This year’s event is proudly sponsored by The Capital Area Iowa Club. \nCome to Salt Line DC on April 25th at 10:30am for a fun run with participants from all of the Big Ten alumni clubs in the area. \nHere’s some new details and notes for the run! \n​We wanted to share out some more details on what to expect and how to plan. \n\nMake sure to wear your school colors!  We have approximately 100 people signed up and expect more day so we got to show off our school pride!\nParking\, here’s a link to available parking near Salt Line: Free Parking & Garages Deals near The Salt Line | SpotAngels\nBefore we start the run\, we’ll attempt to take a group photo.  Please arrive early if you’d like to join in.\nWe’ll have a bag check with a couple volunteers at the start of the race.\nWe’ll kick off the run at 10:30am on the road in front of Salt Line DC.  We’ve included a map below of the route.\nThe route below is a 5k.  If you want to do a 10k\, just take another lap!\nThis is a self-timed run so we will not have timing chips or a clock.\nAfter the run\, we can enjoy a cool drink at Salt Line.  If it gets too busy\, we can do an overflow at Dacha Beer Garden next door which opens at 11am.\n\nYou can see the route below (click on it for a direct link to it).\nPlease sign up below to get updates and give us an idea on how many to expect.  (Sign up is not mandatory) \nRSVP form (On The Capital Area Iowa Club’s website): https://www.capitalareaiowaclub.com/bigtenfunrun.html

DESCRIPTION:For the first time since 2023\, the annual MWCPSAA Scholarship Golf Tournament is making a comeback! \nJoin us on Sunday\, May 31st at the Augustine Golf Club in Stafford\, VA for 18 holes of fun\, all in support of our chapter scholarship fund which is proud to award ~$20\,000 to local students each year\, largely in thanks to community support of events like this. \nRegister as an individual or as a foursome; individuals will either be randomly placed in foursomes or kept alongside partners requested ahead of time. \nOur shotgun start will kick off at 9am sharp. Your ticket will include green fees\, a cart\, access to the range\, a few drinks and a post-play BBQ lunch buffet. We will also be hosting a raffle and a few on-course contests with some great prizes\, as well as a grand prize for the winning group! \nTickets: \n“Early Birdie” – now available until 4/19\, at which point the price will go up $20/ticket \n\nSingle: $170\nFoursome: $620 (=$155pp)\n\nPlease feel free to reach out to golf@psuwashdc.org with any questions or sponsorship inquiries. SUMMARY:2026 Annual Student Sendoff & BBQ
DESCRIPTION:Please join us at Cabin John Park as we welcome the newest group of Nittany Lions as they join the Penn State family!\n\nThe day will include food\, drinks\, games\, giveaways and more!\n\nDuring the picnic\, we will host a session where freshmen can chat with former students to find out all there is to know about campus life. We will also have a special session for parents to speak with current student parents to ask all the important questions.\n\nRSVP pending- ticket sales will open later this year. Once they do\, please kindly register using the RSVP link so we can ensure there is enough food and drink. Expect typical BBQ fare (salads\, grilled meat\, fruit\, and dessert).\n\nEvent Volunteers Needed:  The chapter also needs alumni volunteers that can be present from 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM to help setup\, greet guests\, mingle with students and their families\, take photos\, cleanup\, etc. Please register if you’d like to help us run this important event!
