DESCRIPTION:Please join us at Cabin John Park as we welcome the newest group of Nittany Lions as they join the Penn State family!\n\nThe day will include food\, drinks\, games\, giveaways and more!\n\nDuring the picnic\, we will host a session where freshmen can chat with former students to find out all there is to know about campus life. We will also have a special session for parents to speak with current student parents to ask all the important questions.\n\nTickets are available now: Please kindly register using the RSVP link so we can ensure there is enough food and drink. Expect typical BBQ fare (salads\, grilled meat\, fruit\, and dessert).\n\nEvent Volunteers Needed:  The chapter also needs alumni volunteers that can be present from 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM to help setup\, greet guests\, mingle with students and their families\, take photos\, cleanup\, etc. Please register if you’d like to help us run this important event! Be sure to RSVP using either the “Incoming Student” or “Family & Friends” RSVP tickets once they open as well as signing up for volunteering.\n\nDate: Saturday\, August 1\, 2026\nTime: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM\nLocation: Cabin John Park – Group Picnic Area (7400 Tuckerman Ln\, Bethesda\, MD 20817)\nCost: Free to all incoming freshmen and their families\, current students as well as any PSU DC Metro Alumni Association members.\nTickets: RSVP pending and tickets will open later this year.\nAttire: Wear your favorite PSU gear! DESCRIPTION:The Student Break Buses\, sponsored by the Metro Washington\, DC Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association\, provides safe\, reliable\, and economic transportation for students traveling between University Park and the Washington\, DC metro area over holiday and semester breaks. \n\nUniversity Park\, PA – Pick-up & Drop-off: Curtin Road beside the Berkey Creamery\nBethesda\, MD – Pick-up & Drop-off: Side parking lot of Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda\, MD\n\nThe trip between State College and Washington\, DC usually takes about 4 hours\, but keep in mind that travel times may vary with weather and/or traffic issues. Your purchase will provide a QR code that will be used for bus check-in – please be sure to save your QR code for ease of reference! \nIn the event that a refund is required after this purchase is made\, please reference the Student Break Bus Trip Refund Policy. \n**Please note that riders are able to bring a personal item kept with them and a checked bag to be stored under the bus.
