Each year, the generosity of local alumni allows the Metro Washington Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association (MWCPSAA) to award several partial scholarships to incoming first-year students from the DC-Metro area.

If you have received this application link from the MWCPSAA, that indicates that your academic record has identified you as a candidate for a scholarship. If you are interested in applying, please complete the below application no later than Tuesday, July 7.

After reviewing all of the applications received, the MWCPSAA Scholarship Committee will select a number of applicants for virtual interviews tentatively scheduled for August 3-10 (subject to change). If selected, you will be notified by email of the date and time of your interview. If you have not received notification by Sunday, July 26 end-of-day (again, subject to change pending deadline extensions; we will follow up with another email if this changes), please assume that you have not been selected for an interview.

Regardless of whether you are awarded a MWCPSAA scholarship, your acceptance to Penn State marks you as an exceptional student. Our Board of Directors wishes you success during your years at the University. Enjoy the Penn State experience! As we can attest, it continues well beyond graduation.
