Welcome to the DMV!

The Student Affairs committee maintains direct engagement with current Penn Staters – those who are from the DMV and looking to relocate. To do this, Student Affairs hosts events and activities that engages local students planning to get to Penn State, as well as opportunities for current students to connect with Penn Staters living in the region.

Student Break Bus Trips

For student breaks during Thanksgiving, end of winter session and spring break, Penn State DC offers buses between University Park and the DMV for returning students. View the upcoming student bus schedule here along with our other upcoming events.

Student Sendoff

This annual event is a celebration for new Penn Staters from the DMV. This BBQ-style event offers students and their families an opportunity to engage with the Penn State community before starting their college careers.

Fully Refund Your Ticket Purchase*

*A full refund of the student bus ticket purchase may be provided if the request is made two weeks (14 days) prior to the commence of the trip. Email requests may not be completed due to the level of communications we receive.

Partially Refund Your Ticket Purchase*

*A partial refund (50%) of the student bus ticket purchase may be provided if the request is made one week (7 days) prior to the commence of the trip. Email requests may not be completed due to the level of communications we receive. No changes are available within 7 days.

Donate Your Purchase to Scholarship Fund

Ticket holders are permitted to forego the use of their ticket and donate the cost towards our chapter’s scholarship fund. This will allow us to release the ticket for repurchase – and bolster our ability to serve students.
