Join Penn State DC and alumni chapters from Big Ten schools across the DC metro area for our annual School Supply Drive on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Together, we’ll support DC Public Schools by collecting essential classroom supplies, art materials, hygiene items, and monetary donations to help students start the school year prepared for success.

Suggested Donation Items

• Classroom Supplies: Small portable whiteboards, dry erase markers, pens, pencils, notebooks, crayons, glue, and other essential school supplies.
• Art Supplies: Paper, paint, paintbrushes, chalk, and other creative materials.
• Hygiene Items: Deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, washcloths, combs, face wash, hairbrushes, lotion, shower caps, hand sanitizer, dental floss, mouthwash, sanitary pads, lip balm, hair ties, tissues, sunscreen, wet wipes, and cotton swabs.
